Talking New D2

I just ordered a 16GB D2. Can't wait until it gets here.
I've been researching alot to find the best PMP for me and I think I made the right choice with the D2.
The only thing that was a little fuzzy was whether it supports Rhapsody or not as I use it and Audible.
If it works, I'll confirm it here (unless someone did already, but a search of this forum didn't turn up anything conclusive).

Well, that's about it. Was just excited and thought I'd share with you guys.

The Rhapsody thing is kinda sketchy but it IS supposed to be great with Audible books. By the way - WELCOME TO ABI!!!

16GB, thats pretty damn nice. You'll be the first/one of the first with it on here. Add a 16GB card too and you'll make many people envious

Including me, I have an 8+16gb D2...

But when the D3 comes out and my D2 pukes, then he'll be envious ;-)

I am sure you will enjoy you're purchase for years to come, great buy man =D

I just order one off of amazon that 16GB and I got a 16GB Transcend SD card! So yeah, he's definitely just one of the firsts here!

How's the viewing angle on the D2 BTW? It kind of has me concerned. Call me anal about tech products...

Viewing angle is the same semi-botched approach as the Creative ZV:M and many others. The TFT is built the wrong way into the enclosure - viewing angles are fine from both sides and from above, but not from the bottom. Turning the screen 180 would be a more "natural" way. Anyway, it's not bad by any means.

How far can you go and not get a negative? The Zen, which has a bad top angle, only had about 30 degrees of tolerance from center before it went to negative. From all the videos I've seen this doesn't seem like that huge a problem. Could be their lighting though....

Can you encode videos upside down?

30 would be my guesstimate as well. Since I usually hold the D2 in my hands while watching videos that is no problem for me (I never used the stylus/stand thingie).

Yes, you can encode videos top-down with several apps, like Virtualdub.
