Default wall charger for $16 at Wal-Mart

Found this at walmart last night. Bought one plugged my usb cable in and hooked up my z5. It charged it up without any problem. The Z5 didn't even get warm. The symbol even turned green when it was full. My unit wasn't that low so it didn't take long so I'm not sure how fast it actually works but hey its $16. I'm not gonna complain. Registered on the board just to tell everyone about my find in the hopes that it would help someone out. Love the board and my Z5. Keep bangin.

seems like the YA-DS100 speakers might be around in the next few weeks, if websites like digiuk.co(m or ~.uk) can be trusted...

The Belkin is $35.

The same Gomadic is $40.

The other Gomadic which is separate wall & car chargers (which I think will work better for me) is $30.

Plus I can order tips for other devices from Gomadic.

Are you talking about the audio docking station?
Samsung YA-DS100 Z5 Speaker Dock..
you can buy it at;

play.com / 67.50 euro (44,99 pounds) no shipping costs (in stock)
http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...t.html?cur=258

I also have very good experiences with orderering at Play in the UK mainly cd/dvd.. and ship them to Netherlands is no problem.. (I'm also Dutch)

advancedmp3players.co.uk / 59,99 pounds (out of stock right now)

So basically a replacement for the cable that comes with the Z5 except it allows the Z5 to sit upright. No other added features. Hmmm...personally...I don't see a lot of value there.

I just got a Belkin Sports Jacket for my Z5. it fits very nicely, all the buttons work fine and i think dragging around images when viewing feels better than without the case. the case doesnt improve the looks of the player and mite not be necessary to protect from scratches because i've had my z5 for 3 months now and no issues with scratching as of yet. but if ur paranoid like me its a worthwhile investment.

i live in australia and got mine from harvey norman for 29.95. i havent seen it anywhere else but it wouldnt hurt to hav a look around for a cheaper price.

Would appreciate any leads to a shorter USB cable.

[If explanation is needed, I have added a USB module to my car stereo that connects to any memory key or equivalent device such as an MP3 player. I have the Z5 and cables and connectors tucked into the ashtray, but it's a very tight fit.]

Hey Chuckles... although it's not "exactly" a shorter cable, this should do the trick (and is probably the closest you'll be able to find) -
