Default Should I cancel my D2 order?

I'm in a bit of a dilemma at the moment. Should I cancel my 8Gb D2 order and wait for the 16GB, or should I just go ahead anyway?

I'm already getting a 16GB SD card for my Archos 405, which is why I'm having second thoughts. However, I would look like a bit of a dick sending another email to the retailer saying that I do want it again...

Why get a 16 gig D2? Do you really need 32 gigs of storage? Isn't there a limitation on the total number of files? An 8 gig D2 plus a 16 gig SD card is 24 gigs. Do you really need more than 24 gigs? A 4 gig D2 plus a 16 gig SD card would give 20 gigs, which is more than enough storage for most people. I was thinking about getting a 2 gig D2 and an 8 gig SD card for around $160 total, but the supply of 2 gig D2s is gone.

Yes, JK98, some people want more than 24GB. I know, it's hard dealing with what other people as oneself find reasonable...

Firmware 2.57 for the D2 upped the file limit to 8000 (4000 internal + 4000 external). That should be fine for the new 16GB D2.

I agree. There is no chance in hell I would use a primary DAP with less than 80GB. I like to take all of my music with me.

Who told you end of July?

I emailed the main people who sell them in AU and they informed me the start of June and linked me to:

http://www.minidisc.com.au/cowon-iau...ck-p-1432.html

Which has June 04 as date instock.
