iriver ifp-895 issue

First time here. Hope I can get a solution to this issue. I have a IRIVER IFP-895 MP3 player and no audio players will reconize it so that I can view/add/or delete music. I have deleted old programs and tried to install new software as well as firmware with no luck. Tried to go to the iriver website but cant find anything there. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks!

Have you downloaded and tried the iRiver manager software? If you are using the original firmware or have not flashed the UMS version of the firmware, the iRiver manager is a must.

Perhaps this link from the international site will work for you:

Once you have that downloaded and working, search on the site (www.iriver.com NO region selected, simply go to support and downloads) you can get UMS firmware which will make the player work as a flash drive. You give up a couple of features (naming FM stations, drag and drop re-ordering of tracks, and so on) but you gain compatibility with most every computer without need for software.
