Who does not like to 'Kick It Old School'.
In my opinion, the best way to 'Kick It Old School' is to spread the love with a boom box on my shoulder and an inviting swagger in my step (much like this mythical fellow: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qxLRUn5jJik (not my video)). But alas... there are other times when it is not appropriate to spread the love so loudly. When I can not 'Kick it Old School', I like to 'kick it old sk00l'. When 'kicking it old sk00l', I take the opportunity to stick it to all those ipod hipsters. Those hipster which take every effort to make their ipod visible, letting you and everyone else know they they are in with all the cool kidz. They really need to ask themselves what makes life important. How do I stick it to all those ipod hipsters? I silently bounce along, grooving with my The Old School official membership badge: the Diamond Rio PMP300. Nothing is hipper than the second personal music player ever made. I am hipster-saurus... hear me roar? 64MB is not much storage space you say? When I feel the need to have a few CD's worth of music at my fingertips, I break out my Rio Volt with a rewritable CD. I believe this is one of the first, if not the first CD MP3 player ever produced... and it is still being made! Hows that for 'kicking it old sk00l'? I always get a kick out of watching the CD stop spinning while the music keeps playing. To sum up 'The Old School' equipment list:
![]() I would like to sit back and trade stores from The Old School, but this is a photo contest. Just know that back in the day... all those lonely nights with city skylines... my The Old School gear kept me company with 70 minutes of rock every hour. All thats left as a reminder of those better times are my poorly matted photographs and my gear. ![]() Remember: "Nothing is any good if other people like it". Update: Wait... the contest entry period is over now no one even thought to try to guess which city that skyline is from? ... Also, no ones questioning whether the PMP300 still works? I can post a video to prove it!Update 2: Wow! A finalist! Thanks so much! I love this site! I have been reading it for well over a year and it has never let me down... not to mention the many like minded people. I have been taking lessons and rigorous notes about the new school, and I believe the new school response would be 'OMGBBQPONIES!!!11!!', but I am not sure since it feels a bit outdated. On a side note, my personal favorite out of the contest entries is Bob's Happy P2. |
