there already 50+ votes people please vote and lets make the votes over 1000+ so they can present this idea to the Samsung, imagine what we could do with the sdk there could be gps "http://www.canadagps.com/GPSlim236spec.html" more games, more supporting formats.

i dont think samsung will listen to this. even if we got 10,000 votes.. they'd probably ignore it. samsung tend to ignore most customers i reckon. i asked about firmware bricking my first p2, and they send me an automated reply. hmm not very good service

I voted but
There are like 10 times more users of the iPod Touch than the P2, those users may vote NO ![]() And hence we may lose.

Right now the poll is running at about 96% in favor. Seems pretty clear an SDK would be a hit, despite that only a small percentage of P2 users have found it.
The Poll needs to be advertised on every worldwide P2 site you can find. Fine a Korean one and you'll get the most votes from them. 4D |

There will never be a SDK unfortunately
![]() You can cry as louder as you want, samsung policy won't change. And I remember you that we (people on forums) are only a minor part of samsung customers

yup couldn't have said it more better. thats the point im trying to get through to the users. we can make all these petitions and get thousands of signatures for samsung to ignore it in the end. i might make the transition to the ipod touch since it has more potential.. the final bluewave doesnt really have me that excited.

Samsung won't release an SDK because they don't have the rights to, Telechips does. The p2 uses a Telechips processor and Samsung used Telechips' SDK to make he OS.

"No chance" is so absolute. I prefer "slim chance". More optimistic.
If I'd bet on "no chance" every time I wanted something to happen I'd be broke, homeless, and a pile of bones being picked over by scavengers in the desert. Let there be hope, even just a little. It keeps the light on. It wakes one up each day. ![]() The idea for music having precedence over game sounds came from someone here. The idea that album art could fill up more of the screen came from someone here. I just notice you don't have to double tap menu items if you just keep your finger on them a second longer. The double tap was hated here. Perhaps this "feature" came from comments noticed here too. 4D, Voted in favor of an SDK. You can too! |

They are nice at Samsung. A nice secretary who does not even know what a SDK is and who answered you a pre-established message?

get ready for a lot of waiting and possibly no answer. most likely they'll say "hi, thank you for your enquiry, samsung cannot provide a proper answer for your question rahrahrahrah <insert bullshit here>". and you will be back to where you started

So Leb and xinz, would you like an SDK for the P2 if there was one? Are you interested in seeing new applications for it?
If no, then don't vote. If yes, then vote or don't vote. Everything you've said in this thread adds nothing unknown to it. You are just being bullies.

lol I voted "yes" because I'm interested of course.
But I'm a very realistic guy and I don't want people to hope for nothing. I prefer thinking that it is impossible to get a SDK so that if it comes all the same I will be very very happy and if it does not come, it won't disappoint me.

So you're a pessimist. Next time just add, gracefully, that you're in favor of the idea and have voted YES, but aren't optimistic about ever seeing an SDK. By insisting to everyone else that it won't happen, then arguing and nagging the point, you're dragging everyone else down into your pit of depression. Not fun. Not worth it. Not a good way to make friends and influence people.
Consider this a valuable life lesson.
