small problem> you archived it as Vision Basic>.rockbox>[files]
it would be easier if it was archived as .rockbox>[files] so that people can extract it directly to their sansas without wondering why the theme can't be found

i don't know if its just me but the WPS isn't loading; its just the default rockbox themeless WPS

Thanks for your non-permissive license. You've just missed the idea of open source and rockbox.

But, remember that you're not the only copyright-holder of this theme. BdN3504 has also copy rights on this theme. You should probably talk to him to discuss a proper license.

You license isn't specific enough. What happens if the theme needs an update and you're unavailable?

Yah i just realized what the real problem was in the themes folder if you find visionbasic.cfg and open in wps it says Vision.wps all you have to do is change that to VisionBasic.wps and save it and it works perfectly also i dunno if anyone else didnt really like the boxiness of the fonts but if u were looking for another Nimbus-10 works relly well

What's different in the Elite version ?
Looks great btw.

" When reposting this theme, please respect the work of the original owners and credit them somewhere in the post."

Seems to me the play button belongs to Bill Gates

What's the matter with this "elite" version? Viewports isn't something bad. And they run on the original build. So, the basic version should already run on the official build.

Edit: Thanks for editting you're license. Much better now.

" New and improved Bitmaps for shuffle, repeat, and crossfade
3 new Backdrops
New Look, same classic feel"

Dude, are you in sales or something...the theme is 1 day online and allready an update and improvement anouncement.
This way it looks like you released it to early..... Micro$oft Vista strategy anyone ? .
Better put your energy in updating the .cfg file to get this theme running without people having to adjust the .cfg file themselves.
The theme looks fine to me...save your new ideas for the next theme.(and do a new theme each week )
I get brain-farts all the time but I don't cram them in one theme.

once again..great theme ....muchos respectos.

@Krugel and ed1w2ard: the elite version is the full version of the theme. Since so many people have been waiting for this theme, I figured I would release a full "buffer" version as a peace treaty for those waiting for the full theme. Beta, maybe. The theme is fully compatible w/ the original supported build of rockbox, as found on rockbox.org. I do not intend to spend the time to make it compatible w/ all builds, you can do that on your own time. Also, the .config file I orginally included in the first dl has been updated, a minor fluke on my part which I fully apologize for. For those of you using viewports, as seen in multiple newer unsupported builds, you need to manually edit the .config file by deleting all # symbols before each code. I did not code it, nor can I code very well, so I apologize for any inconvenience with the coding. I plan to release new themes, but none will be glitch free, or cross compatible w/ all branches of rockbox. The theme works fine w/ the current supported build, as I have been testing it vigorously for multiple weeks. As for a theme a week, since I cannot code, the bitmaps may be done, but the coding also takes time. I consider quality over quantity when it comes to themes, so I will not be uploading multiple crappy themes like some other members of this forum. Thanks for your advice.

You confuse something: Viewports is in the SVN, it's not something only custom builds offer. So, you can freely make use of them and it'll still run fine on the current build.

BTW: This theme actually uses viewports (e.g. here %Vl|c|12|30|158|104|-|-|-|).
You obviously have no idea how your theme is coded, nor you have an idea about viewports.

What # symbols in which file were you talking about?

Guys please keep this thread to the topic of the theme, not who makes good themes.

Default Sorry, but this had to be done :)

So, i have now officially finished working on this theme, from my part.

I'm still waiting for .carbon to reply to some requests, but it looks like he likes other icons better than mine, so i guess there have to be two versions of this theme. One with his icons and one with mine. But i don't want to hold my version of the theme back anymore, so i'm going to publish it now.

I want to release this theme under the license and have put this the right way in the cfg files. I have also credited you in the cfg file carbon, so i hope you're OK with that... I'm thinking about releasing the theme on the rockbox wiki, too.

I have re-aligned the conditions for the wps if no albumart is present. You can see almost all the different states in the screenshot i posted (it's a gif, you have to click on it to see the other frames). If you(meaning everyone) like to see any changes, please either reply in this thread (maybe i will create a thread dedicated to my version), or send me a pm.

enjoy!

Think I like 2.5 a bit better. Not a huge amount, but better.
