Default Auto-resume on podcasts and audiobooks

I'm sure this has been covered but I'm not finding it in the search for some reason.

What genre do I use to get a mp3 file to auto resume. I've tried podcast, audiobook, and datacast. I want to be able to switch to a different mp3 and then go back to the audiobook or mp3 and have it in the same position as when I exited the file.

Do I manually have to put them in the datacast folder?

apparently this isn't possible. holding the 'datacasts' button down on the touchscreen does not resume the last played datacast. entirely inconsistent with the rest of the p2s functionality.

Wow, that's dissapointing. If I can't get the P2 to support autoresume on my .mp3 audiobooks then it is going back to Best Buy. The only reason I'd consider keeping it now is because it supports Rhapsody. I can always use my Sansa clip for Rhapsody however.

I'm very disappointed with the P2 so far:
- No album art displayed at the same time as song and artist.
- No autoresume on mp3 audiobooks (I thought I read somewhere this was supported).
- Doesnt wake up quickly like my iPods.
- No FF or RW on my BT headphones (I was hoping for 10sec skips with headphones like when swiping screen)
- How do I get to now playing screen from home screen quickly?

I do like the form factor and sound quality.

The "full screen" feature in the beta firmware shows all of this.

Can't answer this.

Have you tried the "last state" start mode? Itt will go directly to the last thing you were doing when you turn itt on. Itt is in Settings>System>Start Mode>Last State.

No answer.

Press and hold the music icon.

You can also get back to the main screen quickly from anywhere by pressing and holding the "back" icon.

Sorry I can't answer all of your points, but hope these help.

Thanks for the response. I decided to return it and get an Ibiza Rhapsody. The Ibiza is hard to beat for Rhapsody integration and as of today or tomorrow it will support Audible. For someone with my priorities (Rhapsody, Audiobooks and Podcast support) the P2 wasn't a good fit. Thanks.
