The Zune 30 is a great choice... provided that you understand the limitations and get it at a good price. Unfortunately the bargains on the 30 are long gone. Avg. price is $175-$200. If you are that determined to get one, visit woot.com every night @ 10pm Pacific (when they change the product). They periodically have brown Zune 30s for $90.

If you DO get a 30, keep in mind that you have a choice of firmware/software.... the older 1.x desktop software (Windows Media Player 11-based) or the newer 2.x desktop software (minimal functionality).

Yea, retail price is usually around 199 like sracer said.
I'm still trying to sell my Zune on ebay, and woot is a great place to get them dirt cheap.

I have a Zune 30 that I bought back in Feb. Make sure you read the specs on the device over at zune.net. It has more limitations than the second gen Zunes. But as long as you find the specs acceptable, it's a great player. Great sound, nice display for video.

I recently got mine for around $150 on amazon. If you are willing to go refurbished that's the way to go.
