Using this guide, one can play MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 videos on their Sansa c240 and c250.
Basic Requirements: 1. A Sansa c200 (v1) series, with the latest build of Rockbox installed (see installation guide on this page) 2. WinFF 0.291 for converting the videos. It is found here Steps: 1. Connect Sansa to computer. 2. Download and extract the rockbox-c200.zip file attached below. The file rockbox.mi4 hence extracted must be placed in the /.rockbox directory of the player. 3. Replace the presets.xml in the WinFF folder (default is C:\Program Files\WinFF\) with this one: presets.xml 4. Convert the video using the following settings :
![]() Click on Convert Video 5. Transfer the converted video to the c200 6. Close and restart in Rockbox 7. Go to the video, select Play from Beginning If everything has been done right, the video should play fine. A good test file to see whether the procedure had been carried out in the right manner is this video. |

Thanks! I, TLE, needed that, even though this is January 2009 and WinFF has gone to version 0.43/0.45

I'm using the current WinFF and Rockbox 3.1 and your procedure works great! Audio stays in Sync with the video, which has been the biggest issue using other methods.
Thanks for the thread! |

I still get a format error when trying to play the sample file. Well I figured it out. I had to remove and re-install Rockbox to get it to work. Thanks Last edited by masterofpuppets; 01-28-2009 at 02:57 PM. Reason: Added Data |
