i love it.

so easy to use. the full QWERTY keyboard is great and i love the 2 position flip open option for the larger screen on the inside.

No, but I have unlimited data w/3G. It's fast, and I don't need to find a hotspot for access. I don't work in the city area so wifi is harder to find for me.

No wi fi is not that bad when you have to get the data plan anyway, but I dont understand why a company would leave that choice out. wi fi is very nice and comes in handy.

Or you could be like me and have both. WiFi will generally always be faster when it exists, because of the inherent latency of any 3G network and when given the choice, I always jump on a local WiFi network with my E51 than use 3G.

...Not to mention, having a phone with 3G and WiFi lets me run WalkingHotSpot which allows me to surf the internet on my laptop anywhere I have coverage. Which is pretty ridiculously awesome.

of course I would like them both on my phone.. but If I dont have a choice.. I would like to sacrifice wifi than unlimited 3g data

couldnt agree more. def 3g over wi fi. Does the storm only run on 3g, or do you have the option to run on the older 2g networks?

Nokia E71 - the poor man's Blackberry ;-)

When I got it my #1 choice was the Blackberry Bold, but the contracts it was on were a bit too expensive for my blood.

Now I am very interested in the upcoming Palm Pre, which from preview videos looks to be the best smart phone yet!

The Storm only does 3G, and it's damn fast in NY. The prob w/it is it kills the battery so damn fast, it isn't funny. I watch YouTube vids, and then the phone dies. The WiFi would be better since it uses less power to implement. Oh well, car charger for me it is then.

As for the Nokia E71, that's a great smartphone!!!! I was looking at it myself, but got the Storm for $29.00 (bribed back by Verizon ). I prefer Sony or Nokia phones myself, or a Samsung next time.

Thats a sweet deal for the storm. It is def a sexy device. One of the best things about my g1 is that I can go from 2g to 3g, add wifi, enable and disable gps when I want. On most days I keep it on 2g(edge), and use 3g if im busy that day. i will say you def dont need the wifi with 3g, but it is convenient. Im glad to hear the Storm is getting vastly improved though. Do you like the feedback from touch?

This is why I got the Omnia, the only reason I got the Omnia I get to use the 3g for 8-10 hours before I need to switch the battery or start charging. Ofcourse I get more with smart options, like being able to disable the 3G connection if its not needed (GPRS is enough for things like IM's and IRC).

Alot of these modern day 3g phones are such jokes when it comes to 3g battery life, its like the 3g itself is a forced statistic that they dont really even expect you to use. Its also incredibly hard to find reliable statistics on 3G battery life, nobody even bothers with testing it. Except Finnish people, but theres only so many phones that are reviewed.

Default My G1

Here is my new phone. The G1. My wife got it for me for Valentines day. Its a very smooth phone. Everything runs very efficiently. Lots of multi-tasking. The sq of the audio player is not as good as my Nokia 5610 music xpress. There are no eq, but tunewiki is a pretty sweet app(displays lyrics and album art from the web while music plays). Touchscreen is very very responsive. And, the most important, a real qwerty keypad!!

I use a Net10 LG 600G because I do not use a cell phone that much and do not want the worry of that contract.

Default Lg ks360

Got LG KS360.

Like the slide out keyboard as I hate predictive text and normal texting as it takes too long. Buttons just right size...Great games too.
Videos great for screen size.
Her is review link.
