Default Belkin P2 Case

Is there any US shops that are selling Belkin cases?

I can buy from Korean site (has English support), but I'd rather buy from here.

The cheapest place is like $20 + shipping. But I think shipping cost will be hefty.

Has Belkin even come out with any cases for the P2? I haven't seen any and I checked their website and there are none.

Is it confirmed? Because I e-mailed Belkin and they said they had no plan to introduce Belkin P2 case in U.S.

hey.. can you please post the website?... my friend is from korea and he is going to korea this summer.. so i was going to ask him if he could bring a nice p2 leather case for me from there because i really don't want to spend $50 for a leather case... so if you could post the site and i can ask my friend if he could get something similar.... i'm pretty sure he can find something cheap over there because samsung and the P2 are traditionally from korea...

It's good time to buy now because the Korean currency has been going up. They ship international too. You should be able to get it for under $30 including shipping.

Mannnnn, that case looks crap. If it's a velcro closure, velcro wears out in porportion to the size of the velcro (i.e. small strip = fast wear). Plus it looks like you have to "unwrap" the thing to get to your P2. Finally, I had a Belkin case (yes...for my K5, and it wouldn't fit) and I hated the quality of the stitching, the material, and just the overall build quality was pretty sad.

I know this is only my opinion, but I wanted a quality case for my P2 so this time I stayed away from Belkin!!

Yea, many people complaned about poor stitching.

But there aren't many choices available anyway. Noreve is too expensive in my opinion. I'm planning to buy another P2 + Belkin from Korea, so I can get it for relatively cheap.

Futureshop in Canada is now selling this case....I was just in the store today and they had a few. I took it out of the box and it's quite nice. I think it was 39bux...might have been 29 not 100% on that. Oh and yes it is magnetic.

Default Warning about this case

This case is about $30 CAD at Futureshop in Toronto, Canada. The only good things about this is that it's actually very attractive and protects the P2 well. It also has a nifty magnet for the flap.

Here are a list of issues I already have with it:

1) The P2 doesn't slide in very well. It's quite difficult actually. You think that's hard? Well, try pulling it out. It's so tough to pull out that I was getting worried about accidentally pressing the P2 screen too hard as I tried to grip it good enough to pull out. In the end, I slowly shifted the top and bottom ends until it was finally loose. Cases should be tight, but not so tight that you feel you need pliers to pull it out.

2) The box states, and I quote, "All ports easily accessible". Really? Then why is the usb connection port at the bottom of the P2 covered? I was going to suck it up and start cutting a hole myself, but that wouldn't work, as the P2 would just fall right out. Thinking of simply pulling the P2 out for recharge or file transfer? Not really, remember the issue above about the challenge of pulling it out.

3) Guess what else it covers? The physical volume control on the right side of the P2.

4) It also covers the easy holder hook at the top of the P2 -- although I'm not sure how important this variable is, given the fact that the Belkin case comes with a ring.

5) The plastic that protects the P2 screen kind of floats on top of the P2; therefore, it's not the best for pushing the screen for navigation and control. This would be tolerable if it wasn't for issue 6 below. Now to be fair, since I haven't tried any other case yet, I can't say that any other case can do it better, but I'm betting they can.

6) The left side of the case actually partly covers the very important left side of the P2 screen since you need those controls over there to control your videos and other things. It is VERY hard to press the screen. This was pretty frustrating.

Now you know why the box doesn't have a photo of the P2 actually in the Belkin cover -- just a photo of some guy with earphones on -- odd no?

I'm actually a Belkin fan, and I wish this really worked. Like I mentioned above, I was even willing to compromise and start cutting holes in it, but that's not even possible.

I'm going to try either the DLO Action Jacket ($35 CAD at Futureshop/Bestbuy) or the Noreve Samsung YP-P2 leather case ($40+ CAD at Noreve US site).
