touching buttons and stuff is fine. but anything that involves scrolling on the p2 is slow as hell.

I know the P2 ui isnt as smooth as the touch but that doesnt mean it $ucks. You're making it sound like it takes an hour for a button to respond.

i'm not saying it outright sucks. i like my p2. im just saying it sucks compared to the ipod touchs smoothness. honestly i didn't notice the huge difference until i got used to the slowness of the p2. then switching back to the ipod touch was like...wow.

I like the yp p2 because of the hardware volume buttons. And because of the control you have with the software on the p2 and on your computer (no itunes).

i have had it since it came to Norway, and the love for it has grown since then..

had both in my hand , have 2 that i like the samsung more

iPod is not that robust , u must handle it with kid glove , nothing 4 me :S

The touchscreen on the P2 is fine for me. I don't mind double tapping an option just to clarity that I want to select, which some people hate this for whatever reason. It's all smooth and yea, when scrolling through the gallery, it might not be as smooth as the Touch, but it still works.

I was really considering getting the Touch, but only able to use iTunes just didn't work for me. During that time, mediamonkey wasn't able to sync to it, fyi.

In terms of hacking...

The touch only has been hacked/moded because its more popular, thats all it is, the hackers get better known, BUT apple have now relesed a SDK which kinda makes it useless to hack the ipod and void the warranty.

Whereas, the P2 is not to popular, this is why there is not any hacks/mods for it. The hackers don't want to waste their time hacking something where about 500 people will use, when they can hack a device where 1000 people will use.

This is just my view, fell free to add to it.

i would get the Samsung P2 but i have a COWON D2 and awaiting on more news for the COWON D3. the P2 wins over all by the way but the WiFi is nice for the iTouch.

I would get the p2 if it wasn't so much money, and I didn't think the D2 sounded better.

I would deff. get the P2 in the blink of an eye except the 16gig is so much money right now and i have about 30 gigs of music but could easily cut it in half put my fav's on there. I currently have a ZVM 60 and would use both for various reasons (video out for one example). Just my thoughts.

I'd just like to add that I love my p2 and am very satisfied with it. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't like m3u playlists (which are default by winamp) - but there is a converter for that.

Oh, and the album art support kinda sucks in UMS mode (it should look for a folder.jpg or some of that sort).

Other than those issues, I love the thing to death.
