Default Movie audio problem

I converted some mp4's with vlc and when i went to play the video all the peoples voices were low. Should I change the bitrate? or what?

If you mean low in tone and not volume, then you have the sample rate set wrong. Rockbox only supports 44.1KHz (same as CD audio).

Verify that the audio is actually being resampled to 44.1KHz correctly.

Locate some piece of software that can tell you the sample rate of audio in an mpeg file, or else demux the mp3 file and open it in winamp or whatever.

No, i mean verify that the file you've produced has the correct sample rate.

my advice is to use WinFF with the custom presets.xml file for Sansa?. Converts and plays mpeg files great on my Sansa e260
