SONIC!!!!!! Sonic would be awesome.
Game Boy Advance Games! Would the processor on the P2 be fast enough to handle GBA games? BTW, it doesn't need to be 1 touch kinda thing. Check out how it's done on the Ipod touch. I know it doesn't support multi-touch but there could be multiple buttons on the bottom like a Snes controller just can't press more than 1 at a time. Also, Remember you have 2 buttons on the side that could be worked in addition to the touch screen. Vol+ (Could be reprogramed for specific functions.) Vol- Stroke L Stroke R Stroke up Stroke Down Stroke Circle Tap double Tap Controller on Bottom.(If implimented) With this many games could be easily controlled. I Know this is a Long Shot, But What if while playing a GBA/DS/GBC game, you could trade and battle(like in pokemon) Through the bluetooth connection. If somehow you set up the bluetooth connection(for like 20 min.) right before the trade so you could pair them. That would be REALLY Cool! |

Another possible app, sort of a game, would be to make a musical instrument out of the touchscreen. You've got 480 x 272 pixels (130,560) possible contact points. It could be a simple scrolling music staff. You tap the position on the staff of a note you want played. Hold it longer if you want a longer note. Tap out a melody by tapping up and down on the staff to hit each note of the melody as the staff scrolls by. Save what you've played, play it again and add the harmony as the song scrolls by. Save that, change instruments, play it again and add a bass track if you want.
Or it could be a completely unique instrument. Perhaps you get a higher pitch as you as you touch higher on the screen. Perhaps the instrument changes as you move left and right. Just an idea. 4D |

But I dont think the P2's display is sensitive enough, or a finger accurate enough for that.

Maybe a game that uses the mic, bluetooth, and the touchscreen as a way to show off the full potential of the P2. It could be as simple as chess where each player has to call out his moves.... King's Pawn to King's 4, etc. The chess piece will not move without a vocal command picked up by the mic. With bluetooth the game is synchronized between the two players, but spectators can watch and hear the game being played on their own P2s if networking range within range. They can "join" the game but as only a spectator.
Just a thought. 4D |

Music doesn't need to use all the resolution the P2's screen has. We don't really know how sensitive the OS is to screen input until we get access to the SDK. Once that is known, the application can be designed to take advantage of the real degree of sensitivity.

Thanks, bo. It doesn't even have to be Chess. A wholly original game from the Samsung software engineers would be better. It could both show off the P2, and also show off the talent of Samsung employees. It should be very playable, challenging, fun, and a game that doesn't get boring after a short time.
