No, don't get me wrong - I do not mean that the BSE has some kind of strange orange-like color - it's completely transparent.

I think pictures can help in this case to explain what I mean, so I just made some pictures from my Zen Vision:M 60GB Slim with applied full body BESTSKINEVER.

From this angle the BSE looks fine:

But from this angle you can obviously see the orange-like texture of the BSE:

This picture here is from BSE-Homepage showing the iPhone with applied BSE - you can clearly see "the problem":

Now my question again:
Does the PROTECH have this same orange-like texture which only shows on certain angles?
BTW, I've bought several BSE's for years now and every BSE has the same orange-like texture. Maybe it's so much cheaper because of this "problem"???

that's how the texture of the skins are, whether it's BSE, InvisibleSkin or Protech. it's orange-like texture makes it feel more "rough" and there's more grip to it when you hold it.

Is it me or does the protech seems to attract more fingerprints/dirt than the P2 by itself?

Hey FazzOut, thanks for the very helpful information!
I just ordered a DIY BESTSKINEVER - PROTECH & INVISIBLESHIELD are just overpriced IMHO.

Well that looks fairly interesting.
Probably am going to buy one for myself. And show it to my friend who also owns a P2. (My parents don't want to buy stuff online so I'll end up giving him cash and him getting me one too from the site.)

It maybe look like it.
But the point of it itself is to protect the screen, which looks, to me anyways, really fragile in a sense.
Don't get me wrong, I'm completely in love with my P2. But it just looks like right now if I put it with my keys I'm going to ruin it.

But this looks sexy.
Not like that gigantic holding case that you can buy at Best buy.

But I remember seeing custom cases for the P2.
They were quite costly though.

heh as it turns out, the screen itself was not good, so i've emailed them to get a replacement. the back shield looks great, but the front looks off.

Hint for installation. Use a bowl instead of a sprayer. it's a lot easier.

I know about that, but in practical use.. Suppose the p2 falls frm a two storey bldg with this applied, will the p2 survive?

If you look at the pics from this thread it's just a clear covering to protect your P2 from scratches. Of course if you drop it from a building i dont' think it'll survive...unless it fell on a pillow/cushion...Of course you can always get a protech, apply it, drop it off a building and let us know what happens...:P

Falling from a two storey building is practical use? Man, you must go through a lot of mp3 players. I'm gonna bet that you could probably take a relatively sharp knife and pull it across the skin and it wouldn't scratch it, you could put it in your pocket with keys/headphones/anything, etc. You could pretty much do anything to it short of lighting it on fire or kicking/punching/dropping/putting any unnecessary pressure on it without it getting damaged.

I had to say something so i said practical use

Well the protech sounds good since it protects the whole surface of p2 from scratches. So do protech, bestskinsever and invisibleshield use the same material?

These three companies use the same material. Protech is the only one who makes a full body skin however.

As for dropping your Protech covered player from a two story building, well... let's just say there won't be a single scratch on it. As for cracking the shell or screen or if some internal parts break who knows. If there are no moving parts in the P2 and everything is soldered down tight who knows, the P2 might survive with no harm.

Doubt it though.

anyhoo. there are instructions that come with it, but there are no pictures. however, applying these skins are identical to the ones to invisible shield and best skin ever.

here's a video on how to apply invisible shield's skin.

http://www.invisibleshield.com/movie/index.php

they use a spray bottle but you can put soap and water in a big bowl and it'll work just as good.

good luck!

now, i'm going to try to put mine's on.
