YP-P2 firmware Ver 3.07 for MTP

1. Touch Games

- Three fun games (PowWow, Bubble Smile, and Jigsaw Puzzle) are provided.

2. FM Radio recording support

- FM broadcast can be recorded as MP3.

3. Repeat A-B

- Select a section of music and play it repeatedly.

4. Play Speed Control

- Control the music play speed.

5. File Deletion support

- Delete files on your P2 without having to connect to a PC.

6. EmoTure 1.5

- EmoTure is further improved with features such as horizontal viewing of text.




[Cautions before FW installaiton]
1. Please backup the important files before FW update. During FW update, the files could be formatted.
In case of DRM files, the backuped DRM files could not be played.
2. If you power off the set during FW update, the problem could be happened.
Please charge fully the battery of the set before FW update.

Just as an addendum: Updating to the new firmware does not change your region or MTP/UMS settings, even with a config.dat file. If you want to change to MTP or UMS now, you'll still have to downgrade to 1.11 before you can upgrade to 3.07. You will not, however, be forced to upgrade twice. Once you've downgraded and changed as per the instructions in this thread (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=25784) You can upgrade directly to 3.07. Thanks!

Also, you should always know that changing the firmware is an endeavor that could potentially ruin your P2 and force you have to have it replaced. Just warning you!

I'm in Ireland. It's 11.45 now. Been awake ages waiting for it. Had to drag myself away from pc for an hour earlier. Weird thing is that the Korean site didn't have it. I just checked the Irish one cos I've been checking several different sources. It was luck that I got it.

Well praise the Irish and the ABI mods! You guys are quick.

3 games look pretty cool but I didn't get a P2 to play games on. I'll tinker with the other new features today at work.

I have a few songs as AAC (m4a extension) and their tags still aren't recognized by the P2. Are there known AAC extensions that are recognized by the P2? Is it because m4a is generally an Apple extension?

I had 2.08 KR changed to 2.08 EU using Config file and update works perfectly on mine with Config file.

i was looking forward to it that i didn't realize that the KR version would come out late.
i don't want to go back to MTP -.-'
so i guess i await the KR and the go ahead that it won't brick my p2 =(

I had 2.08 KR UMS and used the link in the initial post to update. Now mine says Firmware Version KR 3.07 and is still UMS. No change.

e.g. the subway thing (not a big thing, but is it there?)

I'm happy that I'm getting it before going out of town =] What a great way to start the morning.

Edit: You can rotate pics now! woo. Now if only you could choose the overall view mode of the player to be horizontal or vertical.. That would be nice
