Menu items are in black. But the song info are in white, and against the light blue background it's nearly impossible to read (who came up with these idiotic built-in settings anyway?)
I tried changing the wallpaper but couldn't get that to work. I tried dimming the background, but that only made everything darker and harder to read. Any suggestions on what else to do? Thanks. |

As for as I know, you can't change those settings, but for the wallpaper option. You might have to wait for the H3Mods or if they get Rockbox working on the View.

I don't believe you can, officially.

There is no way to do this officially or unofficially as of now. Like mentioned above hopefully Rockbox and H3mod will both support the view soon.

I had the same problem, but I was able to change the wallpaper to Sunset. Of any of the available colors, that seems to provide the best contrast for the white letters.
It isn't difficult to do, so I wonder if your View has a problem, since you couldn't get it to work? |

I did get it to work. Sunset seems to be the best compromise.
Still think it's a very bizarre and user-hostile design. |
