In rockbox, long select the "File" option, go to "Show Files" and select All" to show the "MUSIC" directory. USB isn't supported on Rockbox yet, so you need to turn off your Sansa, turn it back on, and as it starts, hold |<< to boot to the OF.

So just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, the Sansa turns on fine, but when trying to go to the OF (by holding |<<) the screen fades to black and it doesn't start?

Also, what is the link to the directions you used to install Rockbox?

When its frozzen I have to wait to the battery is flat.
Its starts with rockbox fw. When I try to load the oem fw, by holding |<< when its starts up, the screen fades to black..

Im not sure where my install instructions are. Mybe I installed the FW wrong..

I did copy the .rockbox dir with content to the root of the mp3 player.
Then I used the sansapatcher v 0.3 with v2 bootloader

If you could find the link that you followed for installing Rockbox it'd really help. v0.3 of sansapatcher had several problems IIRC, and is really old. Since the OF doesn't seem to boot, do the following:
Turn off the sansa (hold power for 15 seconds to force it off)
Turn on the hold button so orange is showing.
While holding the REC button, turn on the Sansa. Continue holding REC until you get a message saying (something along the lines of) "Welcome to Recovery Mode" - at this point, you can release the REC button.
On your computer, a "16MB-FORMAT" drive should appear. On this drive, place the original MI4 on it, which can be found from various places, including my signature. Be sure to only place the PP5022.mi4 file on the 16MB-FORMAT drive. Any other files (should only be version.txt) that are on that drive must stay on it.
Safely remove, and disconnect your Sansa, which should cause it to restart.
Turn off the hold button (and turn it back on if needed) and you should be in the OF.
Follow the directions at http://download.rockbox.org/manual/r...-buildch2.html to reinstall sansapatcher, which should allow proper booting to both Rockbox and the OF.

Is this the right MI4 file ?

ftp://wisard.no-ip.com/pp5022.mi4

I have put this file in the "16MB-FORMAT" file. But when I resart. I only get the Sandisk(logo) screen..

I see the right file now
