-A down-sized tactile widescreen flash player that combines some of the best features of other players.
-Small Form Factor (3.5x2.0x0.4) The Archos 604 has the best screen size to player ratio. A smaller variation would be ideal.
-In-Line Space Saving Tactile Navigation
-3” Ultra-Bright AMOLED Widescreen
-480x272 Resolution
-Non-Proprietary USB + Dock Support Pinout - Zen Vision W
-Removable Battery
-Conveniently Placed Dedicated Volume Control - Zen Vision W
.....Only Richard Cranium would bury it in a menu
-SD Memory Expansion - Transfer data to the player through the SD card - Zen Vision W
-MTP/MSC User Select
-FM/TV Radio
.....TV Audio uses FM frequency band, .and usually offers better reception than FM radio.
-Supported Formats - Name-it - Cowon A3
-H264 and MPEG-4 with Chapter Marker Support**
.....Skip forward by chapter - DVD style (HandBrake)
-Zoom/Stretch Screen Options
-5 Music Search Options:
-Folder, Artist, Album, Track, Genre
.....Most people have their music well organized in folders, it should be included in the search options.
-On-The-Fly Playlists in .m3u
.....Transfer Playlists back to the PC-You made'em; You keep'em - In MSC mode Transfer .m3u to Music Folder Root

A 3" widescreen tactile flash player with a small form factor would be a cool addition to the PMP market.
The Archos design with some minor changes is the perfect choice imho, and is possible with a flash drive.
In-line tactile buttons use much less space than scroll wheels, and touch screens can mess up the screen and don’t allow for clear acrylic casing.
Dedicated volume on the top of the player would not only be convenient, it would also allow for better navigation with the tactile controls.
Now that more software is using chapter markers embedded into compressed video, it would be great to see more players support it.
