Default album art not working

I currently have my music files mp3 tagged with cover art using sansas (of ) way of doing it. I also have a jpg named folder.jpg in the music file.

I converted the jpg to cover.bmp but I still can't get it to work. I am using Kugel build.

What am I missing?

I have the music files in album folders in the music folder on the sansa. I renamed and converted folder.jpg to a bit map file named cover.bmp and set it 100 x 100 and still nothing/

You need a different folder for each album, then put each cover.bmp in the corresponding album folder.

What works for me is this:

1. In a folder named Musica, I have a separate folder for each artist/band/whatever
2. In each of those folders, there is a folder named after each album
3. In each album folder, all the tracks are named with the following convention:

Artist-Album-Track Number-Track name.mp3

Make sure you have the .bmp file for a given album in its folder. I used to name my .bmp files as foldername.bmp, which works, but so does cover.bmp. Lately I've been using the latter more out of convenience.

Try it this way for one album folder and see what happens. I use MP3Tag too; it's done OK by me.

I have the Aeromac theme and it works fine.

For me, it looks like you converted wrongly. Renaming to .bmp is not enough. Try a different converting programm too.

PS: When having problems, using a custom build, please post in the appropriate build thread.

Thanks for everybodies help. When I looked at the file view I noticed that the bmp file was named cover.bmpbmp
I was renaming my converted file to cover.bmp All I need to do was type in the name as (cover) not cover.bmp the file name was being named wrong

I guess windows fooled you with hiding extensions. You should turn that off.
