Awesome job! My new favorite. Nice to have a good looking bigAA-type theme that's viewport compatible. I'm not so nervous about viewports now.
You gotta post this one on www.rockbox-themes.org for all the other people looking for a viewports compatible AA-centric theme. |

Very nice job... it'll probably be my go-to theme for the meantime as well. It has everything I like to see in my WPS and nothing I don't care about.

i still need to do the artwork for shuffle etc. and make the graphics work with viewports before i upload it to the gallery though.

i noticed today that my wps also works with any vp-enabled recent build even without any additional patches (even with the same look).
see post1

My wps is showing a capital "A" just to the left of the Album Art image. Is anybody else seeing this and how can I get rid of it? (I'm using chrisjs most recent build)

the "A" means that you enabled "repeat all".
as posted above i remove the icons for the feature indications for the moment. i will reintroduce them in the next version (like in my AA-wps on the top line). if you dont like it, you can comment out the following line in the wps-file by adding a "#" at the beginning of each line: Code:
# Playmode/Shuffle Mode/Repeat Mode text %V|0|14|15|145|0|000080|000000| %ac%?mp<ST||%|%||%>%>|%<%<> %ac%?ps<S|> %ac%?mm<-|A|1||AB> # Hold Text %V|161|14|15|145|0|000080|000000| %ac%?mh<H> you can also just switch to "repeat-shuffle" and no icon will be shown :-)

Thanks for making this theme. I would have held out for a bit on new versions with viewports if there hadn't been a good album art theme.
I have noticed something strange, though, and I don't know if it is just me or not. For some reason the menu screen, which started off as it appears in the images you have above, has turned pale blue and stays that way even if I change themes and back again. I think it happened the first time when I accidentally clicked on the "Aeroish" theme. I am using Kugel's build. Any ideas? --Sol

propably the "aeroish" theme set the background colour somehow. either find the appropriate setting in the settings menu or just start with a fresh config.
you can also check the theme-cfg file of the aeroish theme in the themes directory. in that file you see which settings are changed by the theme and can try to reset them back to the defaults.

version 1.2 up with new small font selection (for better readability)
also please read the red notice in post 1. EDIT: version 1.2 was recalled. had no benefit but needed multifont patch. so we stay on 1.1

Thanks for the reply. Resetting the config did fix it. After getting my settings how I like them I saved the cfg this time around just in case.
I had tried manually changing the background color first, but no matter what I adjusted it to it had no effect at all. Weird. Well, maybe not that weird. More that I don't know what everything is supposed to do to begin with...

version 1.2 out with non-visual changes:
using font 2+3 instead 0+1 to disable font-setting for wps by user also remove aa d-tag to display in the system default method notice: there is a patch on fs that will set this to s (increase and decrease) as default. it is recommended to use a build with that patch included. also newer aa-patch version use the svn method of aa loading, so the maximum aa size is 176x176 for the sansa. bigger aa wont show up!

Why did you change the font in both your themes to nimbus-14? It kind of screws up the formatting. I switched it all back to snap and it looks much better.

i switched to nimbus 14 only for the big font as before. and if you look in the first post the multifont patch is not mandatory.
in fact fonts were not changed, i just switches from sysfont/userfont1 usage to userfont2 and 3 usage. but if the multifont patch is not present your system automatically assumes userfont1 for userfont 2 AND 3. so the small and the big font are replaced by the menu font, which is and was nimbus 14 :-)
