Ive just ordered one. Probably have to wait a day before it ships.
Its going to replace my D2 which was left in my stolen car.
I decided on getting the clip because i would get too worried about scratching the D2 during workouts and such. I hope the clip is as rugged as they say.

One thing that im going to miss is folder browsing. I hope they implement that soon!

Wish they had a black one.. I wonder if a 4gb would fit in a 1gb black case?

I think they should. They will be the same size after all, hopefully.

You most likely cannot open the Clip's housing without breaking it... it's snapped together for all eternity. Well, you can try to glue it back together again, if possible...

Just thought I'd report that I ordered a 4GB Clip from the Sansa Store yesterday morning and the order status page now says my order has shipped. So it seems that they are actually in stock and shipping, even if you didn't pre-order. Also, the "forum10" discount code worked (thanks ishturkish!).

I think someone had asked where they ship from. For me at least (I live in FL), it seems to be east coast. From my confirmation email:

Shipping via US Domestic Mail-DC to...
I assume the "DC" refers to Washinton DC? Or is that just some US Domestic Mail related shipping code?

I'm glad you could use the discount.

My original mail said DC too (maybe it's distribution Center?).

Once information form UPS came it, it turns out that mine shipped from Orlando, FL on Feb 26th(I live on the west coast). So you should receive it before me.

Thanks from me, as well, ishturkish. I used forum210 and it worked just fine. BTW - I justified the two-day fedex shipping because of getting the discount, ordered mine early this morning and it says it shipped already. I guess that means Monday. I'll try to post details about it when I receive it.

Has anyone gotten one yet? Just curious if I'm going to have to update the firmware or anything when it gets here.

The shipping method used in the cheap shipping is something amazon used with me to mail a video game. it took 3 weeks. So just a warning in case it takes longer then the average 4-6 slow ground services. I'm on the west coast also, so that might have an affect.

If no one posts pictures by the time i get mine i will upload some.

Too bad these don't come apart easily. I was thinking of buying a 1gb black to swap cases. everything I own is black, so it will feel out of place.

Ahhh, silver looks good with black--you'll just set a trend.

The picture doesn't do it justice ... very shiny and metallic. Came with firmware V01.01.18, as you can see in the picture.

I'll get around to the self-discharge test once I finish listening to it.

Looks pretty good. Not as bad as the render they showed on amazon. Mine should be here any day now.

I can attest to the rough sliding action to the power switch. Also, the sound quality is outstanding in the 4 gig as with the others.

In my opinion there are 2 somewhat critical design flaws:
1. Screen brightness (or lack thereof) as discussed above. (BAD!)
2. Placing the volume underneath the audio jack. This makes it harder to reach the audio rocker while it is clipped to your shirt sleeve (Eh not the end of the world).
