Default USB problem with Kugel latest

Installed music last night when I got it. Then I installed the rockbox for rhapsody this morning. Ran fine all day.

I just got the latest Kugel build and unzipped it on to my rhapsody e260 [file folders/overwrite files]. However I did not reboot the e260 and then unplugged it and plugged it back in. It gets this:

Rockbox boot loader 4.0
Sandisk Sansa e200
Partition0: 0B 3814
Partition1: 84 20
Loading original firmware
Trying firmware partitition
BL mi4 size EC0
Can't load from partition
Invalid file format
Trying system/of.mi4
Can't load system/of.mi4
file not found
Trying system/of.bin
Can't load system/of.bin
file not found

Otherwise it runs just fine standalone.

It will not dual boot. HOlding down the power/rwd key gets the exact same error.

WinXp wants a new driver for this. I suspect that is beucase it is in error mode?

Is there a failsafe fall out from this?

Sounds like the OF.MI4 somehow got deleted. So you might have to start over to get it working.

Something happened to the firmware partition that the bootloader doesn't like, as it seems to be complaining about an invalid file format. Because of this, it's reverting back to the old fashion times when we had to have a file in the system folder to use the OF. Since you don't have USB access (the driver it's asking for is probably for "Rockbox media player", but Rockbox doesn't have full usb support yet for PortalPlayer chips. Because of that, you're going to have to possibly use Recovery mode. If you have any problems using it, feel free to let me know.

In order for it to even start looking for OF.mi4, something needs to be wrong with the firmware partition to cause it to not start the OF from there.

I don't know what recovery mode is....

I hope that is not booting to Sansa as that gets the same error.

Follow the same steps as for the "Load main image failed" error.

You guys were right. Using the recovery procedure (for a Rhapsohdy I had to get the latest firmware from sansa for it, no big deal) and putting Kugel back on it is fine. I think the zip file had a problem. It had a problem unzipping this time so I got a new copy of the build.

Thanks!!
