ooo i cant wait hopefully there not really expensive ..ill have 20gb if i get one..wont have to get another player...

when u use sd cards are they seprete on your sansa ?

They are almost completely inside the sansa. Only a little piece of the card is sticking out.

Really? With mine it's completely inside there, and I have to reach in the a little far to get it out. Must've broken it, or summat.

excellent news on the 12GB cards - I wonder how long it'll be till we actually see them on the market?
I have yet to find any 8GB cards available online

I have a friend who works for a memory storage mfg, and they are the only ones I am aware of that even offer 8GBs, & they aren't due to be in production till March.
I'm guessing that the price of the 12's will probably come out around $130.00

Lsucowboy, if you have a v1 with Rockbox or v2, the microSDHC cards should work.

In other word microSDHC cards are supported on V1's but only when Rockbox is the firmware you are using, While V2's support them while in the OF.

I have seen in numerous postings that the upper limit for the Sansa SDHC is 8GB...but until this point, all that's available is 8GB.

Of course, I'm an optimist. I'll bet that the quoted "up to 8GB" is referring to the currently available SDHC cards.

I'll have to do a bit of poking around regarding SD, SDHC, and the device classes....I see that the displayed one is a class 4 (4MB/sec).
