Default Ok Giving the D2 4gb another Chance.

I just want to see if the first one I received was a bad one.

I just returned my Ipod Classic 80 GB as I really wasn't happy with the sound it produced.

I was going to look into the Meizu 6SL but the UI is full of bugs.

Please tell me if I should get another brand asn all I am interested is to have the best SQ and 8+ GB.

Thx

meizu and cowon are the top brands when it comes to SQ, hopefully the one you had was only defective, if it wasnt, well you might be too much of an audiophile

If I were to ask you your opinion on the best SQ/ loud mp3 player that had no video playback, what would you get?

The only reason why I am getting the D2 is because of the SD compatibility and this so called SQ. A flash fixed 8GB would be enough for me.

either the sansa clip, or meizu music card M3, or iAudio 7,
but the clip is the only one fully available to me

I have the Meizu M3. It sounds really great, but the GUI has the same problems as M6's, and the battery life isn't really good (between 12 - 14 hours per charge).

If I had to choose between Meizu M3 and Cowon D2? No brainer: D2. (not considering price difference)

Oh well...I just could not resist. I ended up getting the Classic 160GB. I have just uploaded 65GB onto it an it works great.

My whole 3 year collection on 1/2 of the classic's space. This Ipod seems to sound good too. Maybe the other was a little on apple's tolerance scale. All I know is for now, I am very happy.

I may pick up some Denon AH-D2000 (they are 25Ohm and should be easily driven) as I have sold the DT770 Pro/80 because they sounded too dark for me.

Thx

here's my opinion. the iPod Classic may have storage but man it sucks. my step brother has one and all you can use is Itunes. using MediaMonkey or WinAmp just messes the thing up and restoring it back to default settings thus removing all Data off it.

Well the funny part is I LOVE ITUNES Interface!

I really am happy. 2753 songs with all album art at a grand total of 19 GB on my ipod at the moment. All from 192 - 320kbps. Try doing that on any other mp3. It will take you a couple of hundred 16 MB SD cards. HAHA.

My Ipod plays through my microshar cable LOD to my car head unit (I am a tech on the road that drives 2-10 hours a day so I need the variety, I need my IPOD!) and my HK soundsystem at home. I basically have a mega juke box in the palm of my hands. BTW I have another 130GB of space left! ain't it just friggen awesome.

yeah I payed $517.00 CND with a 2 year full coverage warranty (extra $80) from bestbuy. It even covers the battery for 2 years. Heck, the best money I have spent in this hobby besides my DT 990!

The best part, it has a TRUE line out. Not one bit of hissing on my Harmon Kardon/JBL speakers. The sound is superbe.

Not trying to bash, but I find for my needs, the Ipod is the only mp3 that can fulfill them. What the heck more can I ask for...

Thx

The thing is, variety is nice but even for someone like me with over 150gb of music, the D2 keeps me more than happy cause its such a small portable device with a boatload of features and kickass battery life that can store 24gb of my favorite stuff. I don't think you can even get 16mb SD cards, I have a 16gb A-Data in the mail.

I don't hate iPods, but I don't like the interface and sound signature... certainly not for the price.

couple hundred 16 gb cards? 10 would equal that, but whatever lol.

glad you like your purchase. i'm sure your sound preference to the 160gb instead of the 80gb is just in your head. they sound exactly the same.

Really? The D2 was unbearable but the iPod classic is great? I'm sorry but after caving and getting the iTouch I'll never buy another iPod brand MP3 until they fix all the problems. Why pay premium dollars for such a mediocre product? Just because it looks neat or because apple has a neat commercial running on TV? No thank you.

You love itunes? Wow, I'm glad you got an ipod then... now please delete your ABi account. Something is definitely wrong if you think the ipod sounds better than the D2.

Let him like his iPod and iTunes. Who cares? It's all the matter of taste and mental capabilities. Just leave iPod fans be.

But have fun with your ipod, they are great players for people that want easy mp3 playback and nothing else

Its just comical how a person says that an 80gb classic sounds terrible and a 160gb classic sounds great!!! It is up to the person as to what they like but at least make partial sense!!!! The amount of comedy here @ABI is just skyrocketing lately!!!

But that's not really a matter of opinion. iPods having mediocre sound output and the D2 having the strongest output for a flash based MP3 player a fact o.0
