Default New e280 no USB setting?

I have 2 e280's both have rockbox installed, I've also helped many other people do their's, but when I got one for my father as a gift and went to set it up, I find that under Settings there is no USB selection option? Is this normal, if so how can I get around it?, I need to install rockbox which is why I purchased this device. Thanks, ERIC

You got a V2, there is no possible way to put rockbox on that one yet...

Thanks, this generally sucks though as there is nothing on the box to say its version 2.0 and also there site says nothing about them removing functionality. Generally upset with a company I've been happy with until now. How long has the model 2.0 been around, I mean what are my chances of getting a model 1.0 if I buy a new one? Thanks for the help, ERIC Moderator: It would be nice to set a sticky warning people about the new 2.0 models.

But you know Sandisk, they have made mix ups before and put V1 stuff on V2s and made people think they have E200 "R" series players when they don't

If you looked on www.rockbox.org, you will find the most up to date info about Rockbox items.

The easiest is checking the firmware. Like RCM said, Sandisk has been messing up the backs. So that is a little harder.
