.07 Rocks! Drag and drop is great! CONF file is now installed by the installer and I see the Y: and Z: defaults. I still don't get them updated by the program, but using a text editor on the CONF file works for me. I highly recommend that all of the users try out the DONATE option under HELP! |

can you search your harddrive for a file named "conf"?
I put in a specific error message if anything related to writing the file goes wrong. It is probably saving somewhere else for some reason. The message should be: "Error writing to the config file. Reason: <reason>" Which should pop up when you close the program.

Mystery solved.
Exiting by clicking the X for the window does update the CONF file. Exiting by clicking FILE then EXIT does not update the CONF file. |

Good find, I never actually used File->Exit after writing the code for it.
Will be fixed in the next release.

Linux/Mac Support Well after a couple of hours of porting, I got it to work on Mono on Ubuntu Linux. This means it should work on *any* Unix based systems that support Mono (which includes OSX). If anybody is interested in testing this out for me on the Mac or any other Unix based os, please PM me. Proof of it working is attached (it copies files without problems along with saving/loading/sorting playlists - basically everything the windows version does). Anybody interested in me further developing this? ![]() Btw, this exe file runs on both Windows and any OS that supports mono, which makes development of 2 versions unnecessary.

Looks like there is little interest in the Linux/Mac version. I guess it will continue to be Windows only then...

If you are using winamp (which now supports MSC mode) you can put playlists generated with winamp onto the player

^ Good for Winamp I guess.
![]() Although I doubt it works outside of MTP mode for playlists (unless there is a plugin).

well as of winamp 5.3 it supports mass storage mp3 players now (and it will transfer playlists in .pla format) it is a plugin that comes with winamp now

Ok, does it copy the music automatically for you? Does it support copying that music to MicroSD or flash, and give the user a choice? Does it allow for a playlist that has songs both on the MicroSD drive and the flash memory? I doubt it.
I had the same functionality here in the very first release, so Winamp is light years behind.

Goto open, choose a playlist in there, click delete.

I did not see an answer to Zivan's earlier request to have someone test the listmaker with the microcd - so I just tried it and it works. in fact I made a playlist with one track in the main memory and another in the microsd card, and it worked just great.
PS. If you are using MSC mode, after you get the latest sansa firmware beware that for the PC to see the player you have to have it turned on prior to connecting the cable. If you plug it while it is off, it goes into the play mode while recharging the battery, but the PC does not see it. Al M |
