Convert videos with Mediacoder

Well, that's odd. Without knowing exactly what you did, I can't really help you.

It might help to revert all settings to their defaults and then try the extension again. The extension won't change settings that it doesn't specifically need to, so if you changed something it would normally leave default, that might be your issue.

Does it save it as an .svi or an .avi? Also, do you drag and drop into your video folder or do you use SMS?

Eh. I gave up. I just used Badak
to convert 30 Days and it did it in 2 hrs,
and it played on the P2...
no Mediacoder for me.

There you go. It's ok, like I said, they both use the same encoder, they're just different ways of accomplishing the same task. Use what works for you

Use MediaCoder 0.6.1.4031 !!!!!

It seems other versions are wonky when using the included P2 extension or the preset that CrazyFred made. I updated to 0.6.1.4036 and the converted files I got did not work with my P2. So, I reverted back to 0.6.1.4031

i've tested it and it doesnt sync even if i play it on my computer. im using the P2 plugin on mediacoder, do you know where i can find the settings and how to re-transcode the audio?

Just make sure that in the audio tab (on the main screen portion) that copy audio is not checked and that you're using the LAME mp3 encoder.

I don't know what the deal is. I've been using MediaCoder to convert an anime series for me. I thought all was good but it turns out only 10-11 minutes were converted for each episode when really there should be about 24 minutes an episode. I've used MediaCoder for a bunch of music videos (all 5 min or less) and the videos are perfect. So this makes me suspect that MediaCoder won't handle a video with a long duration time?? I'm pretty sure it should though.

So can anybody help me out? I'm so frustrated now because I deleted most of the original videos already...

I've just installed the latest version of MediaCoder but it doesn't work. After transcoding Samsung writes that format is not supported. How to resolve the issue?

Please give us more detail. Did it transcode to .avi or .svi? Did you pick XviD for encoding? Tell us everything you did.

Okay everyone, here is what I did that worked for me.

1. Use version 6.1.4038
2. Select the file you want to transcode.
3. Select the Samsung YP-P2 extension from the Extension menu or Extension button
4. It will ask you to revert to defaults, I just clicked yes.
-----KEY STEP HERE-----
5. Check the Video encoding format under the "Video" tab on the left hand side of the screen.
6. Make sure it says Xvid
7. Start Transcoding
8. Drag and Drop (if using UMS) to the Video folder of your P2.

I had many frustrations in the last hour but following these steps should work. Make sure the video encoding is Xvid. That was my problem.

Hey the latest version cannot be downloaded, when u click the link for download you get two sources, but they are in text format and not a link. And btw i am usin the version 0.60 is that good enough?

and when i tried to change the audio source to autoselect, there is no option as such, only default and others are there.

Instead of downloading the new version of mc i upgraded^^^

My movie got converted to .avi and when I pasted it in the videos folder it didnt work on the p2.
