I'm guessing SD card integration with photos?

It's not quite the integration we're looking for, is it?
Oh well, a step in the right direction I suppose. |

You can actually transfer music and video files also.
You just have to access them on the correct folder on the computer. I'd say 1 more fw update and it should be 100% SD card integration. |

Not exactly as I imagined, this transfers ALL files from SD, w/o option to choose single folders or files. It has nothing to do with integration it's just another way to copy files to internal memory. Good for people that have problems with MTP players.

Looks like the firmware update will be the first step when my Zen gets here.

It's especially nice that Creative has started to expand funcionality not just stability of the player.

I have a problem. Two days ago I upgraded to this new firmware. Ever since then some of my song files make a scratchy sound before starting up, it also is aparent when going from one track to another. It is very annoying. I had the same problem last month and was able to rollback to previous firmware on a thread I found. But now I cannot find that thread and what used to be an excellent player now has these small issues that are truly becoming a pain.
Can anybody help me to roll back to the previous firmware? or tell me how I can get rid of these annoying "Tsch" sounds between tracks and when beggining a new track?

I just got my ZEN 2GB version. Can I update the firmware or this is just for 4/8/16/32 GB versions?

It should work for the 2GB version too.

...Well, it's a start.
I've still got my fingers crossed for a proper fix, and if they managed to include at the same time new logic for sorting albums and artists starting with "The" or "A", I'd be golden. |

Agreed! And Album Artist (separate from Track Artists) section too. But I don't want to turn this into a firmware request thread... there are other threads for that! |

Same player, different memory. Yes, it will work.

There's a thread for newer firmware, I don't know why this is still sticked.

I just called Creative support and they walked me through a reset of my new ZEN 4GB... what a waist of time.. I told him the ZEN Media Explorer was crashing and not the device itself.
Anyway, has anyone else experienced this problem when just hooking up the device to their computer? I tried loading the most recent firmware and it crashes after it says the upgrade has successfully completed. After it crashes it also causes some weirdness where every application screen i move arround shows multiples of the same application screen trailing behind it. the drwatson program also crashes and then i have to delete the process in task manager. i've tried turning off all other applications to no success. Thanks for any ideas. kirby. |

I'm running Vista and I have had no success at getting Creative's media converter to work. The rest of the program works fine though. If you are seeing tracers of windows when moving them, that usually means a program is hung up and hogging up your processor. Have you tried uninstalling Zen Media explorer and reinstalling latest version? I see you say you did a firmware upgrade to the Zen, but did you install the latest version of zen media explorer? Just something to try.
