Default RockBox problem during startup?

When I first read about RockBox I was delighted about it but now I seem to be annoyed with it, The reason is... IT DOESNT WORK. Yeah it boots correctly but as soon as it starts its just a blank screen with no icons or anything at all, all i can do is guess, that worked so i can play music but I cant see a thing im doing??
I decided to uninstall it and then re-install it but again NOTHING its begining to annoy me, I mean i love my MP3 player but since I installed rockbox I just keep recieving problems

Im still going to use RockBox if someone could please help

ok, first try booting up while holding rec, it will erase all of your settings as you my just have messed them up. If that does not work try re-installing the bootloader, but I doubt it will be that, I just wanted to sound more knowledgeable and if that does not work... then don't ask me

I'm sorry, I just had to quote that - the Sansa is more than an MP3 player.

As for Rockbox, holding REC while you start it should do the trick, as pienose said. While it seems to be a rather undocumented feature (or at least it was when I found it) it does indeed clear all the Rockbox settings, which should cause it to look like

Yeah I know what you mean it is ALOT more than an MP3/4 player, well so far no luck, I've un-installed it and yet tried to re-install it but still again no luck

Would it work if I just deleted the .rockbox folder?

Thanks

Well then maybe now you should reinstall it. Hopefully now that you it loads partly through a reinstallation can take care of the rest.
