Default Songs not appearing

when i put music on the player from my laptop (in MTP mode) i put in music. when i go to rockbox on my player, it dosent show up there. how do i put music on both Rockbox and the original firmware?

You should use MSC mode to transferring songs. Plus have you updated the database for Rockbox.

where do i put it in msc? Music doesnt appear there.

You use the MUSIC folder that is hidden. Another thing is does the songs have DRM on them?

To install rockbox in the first place, you had to put it in MSC mode. It's in the OF, which is used to transfer songs even if you use rockbox. It is under Settings->USB mode.

The MUSIC folder is on the root of the device in MSC mode.

I’m assuming you are using a windows os, if so, enable view hidden files, change your player to msc mode and connect. This will create a new drive letter and you should be able to see all the folders and files.

i did that. i now see the music folder. Is that what your talking about? because i see the music i cant see in rockbox
