I'm just curious at what volume levels you guys put your T9's at with what headphones. With the stock set, i had to put it to 20 to hear some bass. With the FX 66's i needed around 10-15 to hear the bass. I also tried my friend's huge headphones and it needed my T9 to be at 30 to be heard pretty much.

10-15 when I'm going to sleep. 25 at school, because of background noise. Sometimes I'll crank it to 30 if its some hardcore song

i know that this is really low because we had a thread about that already and there was a guy complaining about it because his volume was at mid 30's i believe. |

Phattyguy, being that nobody hears the same way and people use different headphones in different types of environments I doubt you will receive a definitive answer.

also the people from france have a volume regulator because they have some law which forbids a too high volume for portable players.

hi,
the guy with the volume problem, kredig speaks from was me. But I've got a very good solution for me now... The problem was, that I had to put the Volume near to 30 with my Sennheiser, Sony and Creative in-ear headphones, when I was using the T9 with ACTIVATED Equalizer. this lead to a very disappointing battery life. So I tried other options... NOW i'm using the "3D User"-Preset! It's veeeeeeeeery good and i do not have to drain the volume to 30, to hear the music pretty good in a noisy environment like on the way to work or something.. I've configured the 3D User Preset at 3D Setting on the value "2" and the Bass Setting even "2"... this is the perfect preset i think. When i'm in bed, going to sleep, i hear at a volume of around 10-12 with my sennheiser in-ear headpones, when there's a noisy environment i drain it at most 22, in the majority at 18-20. That's addicted to the mp3-Rip you hear to... Because, each Equalizer adulterates the sound of the music, i've tested it many times. So best setting is 3D User because this setting makes the sound a little kind like surround, you're feeling like you're in another world (if you hear trance, like me <3) and you can choose the second important setting yourself: the bass-strengh. I hope i could help ...and.. ignore my very sick english =) greets, vOlvOx |

Ahh, that's pretty cool. I do listen to quite a bit of trance, I should try to listen with those 3D sound settings. Does the equalizer effect battery life significanly?

Definitely yes!
Not least because using the EQ results for me that i had to drain the volume to the volume around ~30, and thats inacceptable. Now with the 3D setting the sound is pretty cool with powerfull bass and clearness! I'm happy with it, and the battery life is now normal, because i hear now at a human volume of max 20 ![]() i hear music every day on way to work, mostly about 2 hours for one workday and at the end of the week the T9 has still it's four battery bars ![]() have fun trying it, i'm very happy with it, it's the best solution for me |

I usually listen to my T9 at a 12-16 setting. However, when I'm at school sometimes I have to adjust it from 18-25 to hear over the noise.

1 while driving. As low as 1 when going to sleep. Depends on the volume of the file also. SMS lets you change the properties of the file to include loudness so you an increase or decrease the level of files.
