Ok I found the link
That's easy
you take the link of the latest firmware (P2 1.20) which was "http://www.yepp.co.kr/support/support_file_down_sms.jsp?pds_num=1700&seq_num=1"
and you try another number instead of 1700.
1701? That's work

so the link is:
http://www.yepp.co.kr/support/suppor...1701&seq_num=1
that's the version "maestro"

there also are a bleu, lime and red versions but I didn't find the link yet

I have to ask before I install... had my k3 for a while,
but out of the tech loop the last little bit...

Is 4.10 from the korean site (the link in the previous post)
MTS or UMS. I'm a Mac user so I need to continue with UMS.

Thanks

Just look at the link. It's written "www.yepp.co.kr...."
That can only be a good sign^^

For the 4.06, you need to have the 4.03 before, I don't know if this is still necessary for the 4.10 but I advice you to get the 4.06 before upgrading in 4.10

I haven't yet received my K3 that I ordered this weekend so I have no real knowledge of the device yet, but I have tried to read up on the different firmware versions so I can be prepared.

So what has been changed in version 3.09? The "what's improved" on the download page text is the same as with version 3.05.

And what are these "cool effects" with Maestro edition?

^ Thank you all for the links. I updated to 4.10 blue from 4.06 blue with no problems.

After I got the "updating firmware" message, I turned back on and got "updating image". When it finished, I turned on again, checked system > about, and all was fine.

Default Beware - no downgrade from 4.10!

I successfully upgraded from 3.05 (MTP) to 4.10 (UMS), following the step-by-step advice in this thread:

http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ight=downgrade

Now, accessing the K3 as a USB mass storage device is very convenient. But on the other hand, since the number of characters displayed is limited, browsing is very unclear for folders with mp3s having long titles like for example "Pink Floyd - The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn - Astronomy Domine.mp3". So, after tinkering around with the folder structure for some time I decided I'd rather want my mp3 tag browsing (which I had in 3.05) back.

Unfortunately, no downgrade from 4.10 seems to be possible. I tried to downgrade to 3.09 using the same procedure as described in the above linked thread. After formatting, copying the .img and .rom files in the root directory, disconnecting and switching on I got an error message "Upgrade Failed - Invalid Image File Size". Then I tried to downgrade to 3.05, 4.06, 4.03 - same results. Only "upgrade" to 4.10 (the same version) worked.

So, as a warning: If you are thinking of upgrading to 4.10 be very sure about what you want. You probably won't be able to get back (unless somebody finds a trick and posts it here, which I'd greatly appreciate).

Default Where?

Where do I get the 3.09 firmware version? Does anyone have a link?

I cannot find it on www.samsung.de and plugging the device into SMS also does does not suggest upgrades (as it did for the 3.05 version)...

On the Swedish page you can download it (http://www.samsung.com/se/support/pr...rtabletvav.sec)
The direct link to the actual file is: http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.co..._09_MTP_WA.zip

not even an enqueue function??

that sucks, who cares about so few improvements???

I guess the MTP (french) version still lakes the text function too...

firmware release process was far faster and better a year ago (new equalizers, and so on)
