yeah MTP is crappy you can only gain... also i noticed with 1.20kr that i can now add lyrics... they have an option in the wps menu tab of lyrics on and off.. just wondering if that was there before and if not does anyone know wat this does?? (most likely display music but not sure how this thing works)

I think by wps he means "While Playing Screen". Menu tab would be the bottom middle button, which brings up a list of options. Since I have the US firmware, I do not get a lyrics option.

About the P2 UMS!!!
If you change the FR FR MTP to KR KR UMS you will be able to access lyrics in your P2!!! There is not enough info. but if you chan FR FR MTP to BB BB MTP you might be able to access Rhapsody channel just like best buy version of P2- no evidence.
And again! Thanks for GMP(I forgot the name a second ago..OTL)? Now I can see korean lyrics!!!! and E-dictionary!!! <-Korean bluewave firmware. You can do it, too!!

Uh-huh
I am member of this korean P2 Cafe cafe.naver.com/ypp2 and there is a guy and he found out that we can turn P2 that is BB version into Korean version. it is very strange because just change the name of configuration let you access p2 just like a Korean version. once you change BB version to Korean or EU version, Rhapsody icon was gone. and now you can upgrade your P2 with korean Bluewave firmware, E-dictionary- I heard it will have english-english dictionary.

If you changed the FR FR MTP to KR KR UMS will the UI language be in Korean or can I change it backto english? Basically my question/concern is:
I'll i be able to have an English UI/text/song names etc but also have the Dictionary features?

So... going with KR KR UMS is the best option out there for full functionality? like it will have all the funcationality as other verions like (EU EU, US US what others are there?)

Yes!
Even if you change it to KR KR UMS, the default language is still english.
I'll tell you what functions that korean version has, Lyrics - which you can get it from SMS(samsung media station) E-Dictionary - it is in first bluewave firmware(Korean wave but you are qualified if you changed it to korean version) - but I don't know whether they will have eng-eng dictionary... so far I know that they will have korean-enlgish dictionary. firmware - I don't know exactly but I am pretty sure that korean firmwares have better firmware and they announce them earlier than US or other countries. Samsung will fix a lot of software in p2(so far I heard they are going to improving our P2 lcd touch screen by firmware!!!) Samsung might announce some games that won't in other countries The most important thing!!! You will going to have foreign MP3P!!!<- did you get it? go to your friends and tell them you got the MP3 from Korea!!! <- what a cool thing!!!  Ask me if you guys have more quesitons~

so basically guys... it doesn't really matter where you buy the p2.... its the firmware that matters
the e-dictionary and other games, etc. haven't come out yet will come out within the next few months... the only thing that i noticed that was a pretty major update in the koeran firmware was the lyrics thing... i don't know how to display lyrics probably using the ID3 tags (there's a lyrics tab in SMS) guide to change to korean firmware... 1. download the korean firmware... i got it from the korean samsung website (yepp.co.kr) you need a korean ssn to make an account to access the file... 2. download the file in this thread (the french firmware) 3. extract the config.bin file 4. open the file in note pad 5. change FR FR MTP --> KR KR UMS (UMS or MTP depending whichever you prefer) 6. drag and drop the config.bin and the korean firmware files into the p2 drive 7. disconnect... i believe the firmware automatically starts... you'll have to turn the p2 back on twice 8. enjoy.....

One more thing...
Actually the Blue wave firmware comes out in the end of this month...
And One more thing that I want to tell you guys who try to do this is After you disconnect the P2 from your computer and it starts to upgrading firmware by itself but it will take a long time. think about this, When you upgrading P2 to the other 'country code' it changes whole format of the P2 system for instance, P2 deletes Rhapsody Icon and pull the file browser to the main GUI. so please don't press 'reset' button or reconnect to the computer because you thought there is something wrong. If you reset the MP3P or reconnect to the computer in the middle of firmware upgrading, it will totally mess your MP3P. Good luck to you...

the first upgrade of the blue wave comes out this month... the other waves come out in january and february...
first wave is for the phone bluetooth connection thing and e-dictionary second is for a new gui (emoture) third-they want input from its user

for the korean firmware you don't need to be registered
I found myself the download link from the link of the old firmwares :P The link is http://www.yepp.co.kr/support/suppor...1700&seq_num=1 Only the number (1700 here) changes in the link with every new firmware
