I had some concerns about RockBox. Like the complication in installing it and games. I want to have text editing capabilities and Doom. Can I get links and tutorials on how that works please? Thanks.

EDIT:
How much less is the battery life and can it be uninstalled later?

The battery life of a Sansa e200 is about 10 to 15 hours depending on the settings.

Be advised that entering text with an MP3 player's interface is a major PITA. You'd be much faster using your cellphone's SMS interface for writing some short notes.

by PITA do you mean individual letter selecting? Also, can I have a calender and contacts list with Rock Box?

I find typing in rockbox much easier than typing with a mobile, due to my own text editor keymap.

The text editor is part of the stock Rockbox. Most, if not all, of the custom builds in our Sansa Rockbox subforum includes a calendar plugin.

Rockbox is not a theme- it is a replacement firmware for several DAPs. However, you can duel boot Rockbox and the OF.
