Default The ZUNE Citron...

It looks like MS will be expanding the ZUNE's color palette soon with the addition of the ZUNE Citron.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look as though the ZUNE 30 will be available in Citron, so I took the opportunity to paint my own...

What colors would you like to see for future ZUNE players?

I like the scheme when seen via the Internet, but I don't know how well I would like to live with it. Still, if it came on a Zune 80, I would definitely check it out.

Understood, but when you have so many WOOTed 30's sitting around (as I'm sure many other do as well), there's a bit of room for experimentation...

Especially if you have a strong desire to customize/creative streak.

The Question presented was,

"What colors would you like to see for future ZUNE players?"

It was also an opportunity to see how well I could match the MS Yellow/Citron.

Note: Mixing colors/color matching can be a real pain at times.

Nah i think the DIY one was better... Personally i find most of the zune colors simply horrifyingly bad, to the extent i think its aa joke. The pink zune 30 is the worst one. The yellow/black combo actually looks good, reminds me of bumblebee :3 (from transformers)

Ms' yellow zune 4/8 looked more like... i dunno... someone peed in snow

Well, while I live in a tropical country, I wouldn't be caught holding one of those things... Too showy. By the way, things in those flashy colors are robber magnets around here.

Cool Toys...

I love all of my Cowon/iAudio DAP units.

My D2 sounds simply brilliant, and I just picked up an 8gb card for it - U.S. 43.00!

Very Cool,

My goal was simply to match the color that MS had chosen for the ZUNE 4/8 since it won't be available on the ZUNE 30... and I like making 'one of a kinds'.

Note: and the color matching/mixing was Pain... LOL!

Well,

I was thinking about what this color reminded me of, and came to the conclusion that it looked a lot like the (reflective) Safety Yellow that we used to use on AeroSpace Ground Equipment before I retired from the USAF, So Guess What?

I went on Base, picked up some, and Check Out The Results.

hum won't that make it hard to watch videos on the screen in low light, because the brightness around the screen will make it appear dark?

Nope...

It only glows when light is shone directly on it... say a camera flash, head lights or a flash light.

Good for walking with your ZUNE at night I guess?
