Default Freezing Fixed in SVN

The song freezing (at least as I knew it, seemed to be a strange beast) has been fixed in SVN. Send some love to lostlogic.

Peoples, this is not the place for that. Go to the official site.

For clarity: This isn't the place for Rockbox news or it isn't the place for thanking people who possibly aren't even members at ABI? (when I said "send some love" I didn't mean "post a reply to this message").

He means that most developers do not visit ABi - they visit the official Rockbox forums (http://forums.rockbox.org) and therefore it would be more noticed by the developer who created the patch, as well as the users of that forum.

I, for one, appreciate someone conspicuously announcing here that a bug which plagued anythingbutipod.com and rockbox.org readers alike has been fixed. So thank you, bacon_fat.

I think as a compromise, it'd be best to post it on both sites, so that everyone can see it, as you pointed out.

(In my last post, I was disagreeing with bacon_fat's sarcasm while also stressed out about other problems, which probably wasn't a good combination )

Which is what I did. Actually, I posted there first.

It'd be the best when every rockbox user would have a look to the official site from time to time. But instead, everyone seems to be thinking that anythingbutipod is some kind of an official support forum...

I agree that people should read the Rockbox site from time to time.

True, this forum is not official. However, it is indeed a discussion and support forum.

the problem is:
the news is not easy to find on the official site, as it doesnt say "random hangs fixed in svn xyz".

so sometimes its easier to wait here till someone posts it in an easily understandable way *g*

I agree. I always come here first. I cant even find news over there regarding progress on usb support. I dont think anyone should be criticized for posting info here.

Also, we should remember that we are a community. And we should be free to openly talk about any topic relative to Rockbox without fear of scorn or scold.

Default More Freezing on the Sansa e200

Getting back on topic:

Noticed some new freezing patterns yesterday. The flyspray is here. Try and help out instead of begging the custom builders to fix everything for you, folks. You don't need to know how to program to be useful.

I do read the official site as well, but their message board structure is screwy to me. I always find information faster here, so check anythingbutipod more frequently.
