HOW TO: low level format a T9

Wait so did either of the two guys who did the LLF get the OS back onto the T9?

did you use the USB port?


Was it just the issue of turning it on then connecting it to the USB port?

I did by connecting it with the USB port and then dragging the firmware on it

Hello,
First thank's to all the contributors of this forum that helped me a lot!!
I also had to make a low level format on a p9 because it was not turning on anymore after a downgrade of the firmware (1.8 to 1.5)
I follow the procedure described by RCM without any problem (special thanks to you) and enven restore the region code by simply creating the file CONFIG.TXT
After the low level format, the t9 is just like a single usb drive, if it doesnt appear in the desktop (under xpsp2) just make a soft reset and it should appear. Then you just have to drag and drop the two firware files (i used 1.8 that i knew to work on my device), disconnect properly and turn it on or in fact redo a soft reset as it doesnt turn off after unpluging.
Hope it helps and work for you!! (it's not neccessary to wait the end of the battery, a soft reset after putting the firmware on the device and unplug form the pc is enough)

i even opened up the whole T9...lol
made it in to three pieces...LOL!!!!!!!
disconnect the battery..
hoping it'll sorta reset it self...............like other electronics...>.<;;;;;;

but still didn't know what to do
