I didn't know that synchronised lyric support was possible on any T9. It could be that only certain firmware, or models from a specific region have the capability.

The only other way I can think of viewing lyrics would be opening a seperate TXT file containing the lyrics of the current song/album/playlist.

Thanks RCM, in that case yeppy if you have firmware v1.80 (you can download this from the FAQ thread in this forum) you can then download Samsung Lyrics Station (link in my signature) and use the software to synchronise lyrics to your music files. Once you have done this they can be displayed on the Now Playing screen on the T9.

RCM, do you know if there is there an option you need to select before they are displayed there?

I know this is a little off topic but, the text viewer and clock isn't ticked off, but the T9 does have those features right, or am I mising something?

That's true, there are many features on the list that should be ticked off but aren't... strange.

It would be helpfull to know the "lyric thing" that you're talking about and how to use it if there's any specific way to make it happen.
Thank you.

Oh my, maybe it's a sign of a new firmware update? That'd be sweet.

... I have not used it in combination with the T9 yet, but I can do that and post a step-by-step tutorial for those who would like to know if/how it can work.

I've had no success with getting lyrics to display on the T9... have you done this before RCM, or do you know where you read that firmware v1.80 supports synchronised lyrics?

When pressing menu on the T9 with the 1.80 UMS firmware there IS a lyrics option. Not sure if lyrics station has been updated for the T9 yet though

there is no 'lyrics option' on my T9... the only options are [Street Mode, DNSe, Play Mode, Music Background, Play Speed, Skip Interval, and Bookmark] and as i've mentioned, i just upgraded it to 1.80 UMS firmware...

RCM, I have the feeling that a Lyrics option is only showing for you and no one else because you have performed a low level format and then installed v1.80, while everyone else has installed 1.80 over a previous firmware version.

How about try synching lyrics to the id3 by wmp? if i recall correctly if you search a bit there should be a lyric sync function on it

edit: I have a feeling that his firmware is 1.80 KR, not US since the US support says there were no plans for lyric syncs, but maybe samsung korea implemented it but forgot to update the lyric station? just my opinion

Yeah I just formatted my t9 to see how it'll work, and it seems the US Samsung never planned for lyrics, while the Korean version did. And Yes, I tried quickly to sync lyrics via lyric station, and it works! There isn't a T9 Profile but the T8 profile works perfectly fine. Hope this helps!

edit: as same as the text function on the T9, it seems to be lacking word wrap, just a heads up for anyone.
