Default increase text size

I don't have rockbox yet but I have a couple of questions, I 've seen some screenshots and the text looks pretty small in the menus is there any way to increase the size of the text? Also doesn't rockbox void your warranty?

there are loads of different fonts- from the uber-small to the overly large, don't worry you will find one you like!!

Also, with rockbox does it change the way you put songs on the player and do you still need to use the media converter for videos and pictures?

Audio goes on the same as it did before, set your rockbox database to auto-refresh and put them on as normal.

Videos and pictures are different now, you don't have to use a buggy overly large file format like .mov anymore, just convert to plain old mpg2, more details here:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/vie...uginMpegplayer
and pictures, there is a jpg viewer, you might have to stop playback to view big images, bitmaps can be viewed via the paint plugin or loaded as a backdrop, they need to be 176x220 for backdrops.

Hmm The video part seems a little too complicated in rockbox but I like that the files are smaller

also what setting would you have to use with mediacoder?

From a Sandisk employee:

Installing rockbox will not void the warranty. However, if you brick the Sansa (which is rare) we will not replace it. If you need support, you ahve to put the SanDisk firmware before calling

I click on the option to browse fonts but this doesn't seem to be working. A small screwdriver shows at the top right and nothing loads. Any suggestions? Today is my first day with Rockbox so I'm new to all this.

Did you install the font pack? How did you try to browse your fonts?

Oh oops, works now. I'm stupid with this stuff so far, trust me. Looking forward to having it all figured out someday though. Working on the album art conversion right now.

Read the manual for more info. Also, browse through prior posts to learn more about rockbox.

BTW: JCFantasy2 where can I get that superman pic? It looks real cool . Post a link to a larger pic.
