I live in the UAE and there was shortage of the YP-P2 from the store where i buy regularly from.

Anyways will report once I have done the firmware update and stuff.

A few more questions though:
Is downgrading dangerous
What are the odds of my p2 not being able to downgrade or upgrade
Is it necessary to drain the battery once u operate it for the first time
I read the manual(online manual when i didnt own the p2 ) and I think I read that it should not be overcharged, what happens if u do overcharge(i got a charger btw)

Okay, Are these the right steps for upgrading and degrading and stuff..
1)check fw version, if its not in the 1.xx series then downgrade it(file obtained from bluewave 2 sticky)
2)extract the two files to the root folder
3)p2 restarts it downgrades
4)when it has downgraded successfully change the config file from xx xx mtp/ums to kr kr ums
5)then extract the bluewave 2 files and then repeat the procedure like downgrading

Am i right ?

I flashed it to kr ums my prev version was "wa 1.15"
Now its KR 2.08
btw when i connected the p2 for the first time it showed as a removable disk drive does that mean that it already was ums?

i believe you can use cleaning alcohol, but i think it removes the adhesive, use a solution of a few drops of soap and a lot of water to make it stick back on. a new screen protector costs from about $1 to $12.50

Never mind the purchasing part, i am getting PSP protectors for free which i can mod and use for my P2. Thanks for the cleaning advice

does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of the second delay in between songs?
it sucks when you miss the cool transition effect that some albums have due to the p2 having the delay.

I agree. I have many songs that are linked together, and would like to see a "fix" for getting rid of the delay.

Can the P2 play music/files while its charging?

Hey just got my p2. Love it so far, but having real trouble setting up all the playlists.

Can a song only belong to one playlist?
I've tried syncing playlists using SMS but it just screws it up everytime, sometimes i'll get half the songs, or all the songs in the wrong order.
Or it'll sync one fine, i'll then sync another one and it screws the previous one up.

Is this always the case? I do like a lot of playlists.

can anyone tell me why whenever i do my datacast subscriptions and sync into the p2, when i look at it on the player it gives me the headline, then below it it says "source (website)"

Hi I'm new and i hope to make right to post my questions here.
I have the new beta firmware 4.05 and i re-edit the file config.dat from EU EU MTP to KR KR UMS but,now my P2 says that is the 4.05 european MTP(How it's possibile the files that i download comes from korean site??)
And another thing,when it comes out the european version how i can install??I have problems or i have to modify another time the config.dat??
