Replacing Battery

Looking seriously at Archos products.
Couldn't determine from their web site whether or not the battery is user replacable.
Really want a device with a user replacable battery. Like my Axim PDA.

Is the battery easily replaced?

Depends on the player, some of the older ones can be replaced custom batteries from eBay
Many just have removable batteries
The newest series, so far, doesn't have replaceable batteries unfortunately (a move to reduce the width)

what Axim do you have by the way? I myself use an X50v

Same, a x50v.
Probably put it on EBay when Samsung i760 or XV6800 comes available with Verizon.

cool, I think I'm keeping mine until something a smartphone as powerful (or more) comes out. The XDA Flame works but costs too much.
Have you tried upgrade to WinMo 6?
