Does anyone know if there will be a new version of the Sansa connect coming anytime soon? This device looks really cool...I've been a subscriber to yahoo unlimited for a few years and have used the IRiver H10 20GB but it seems that this would really utilize the features of yahoo music. I just wish for a larger capacity, so I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on a new version in the works?

well the connect didn't come out that long ago so they are probably not working on a new one yet

I'm questioning the future of the Sansa Connect. Sandisk dropped the price by about $100 from the retail price a year ago ... that much of a price drop is a good indication that the player isn't selling well. I spend a lot of time for Googling for information on a variety of MP3 players, and I'm just not sensing that a lot of people are buying the Connect. Also, there's been no firmware update in months (and that was the only firmware update, I think, for some really basic errors), and people have been reporting a number of bugs (see the Yahoo group on the Sansa Connect). And, Yahoo is no longer taking new Yahoo Music To Go subscriptions, though they're supporting the existing ones.

One problem I have with the connect is that the streaming quality is not good without a paid subscription. Have not paid for a subscription and not sure if paying for it will give me better bitrates....

I'm a Launchcast Plus subscriber ($2.99/month if you buy a year at a time), which lets you select "high" quality versus "low" or "medium" for regular Launchcast. Yahoo describes the "high" quality setting as "CD quality", and I've seen other articles that say it's 192Kbps.
