Hmmm... I'm using WMP 10 and dragged it to the root directory - didn't hover over the data folder or open it.

Worked perfectly and done in less than 2 minutes.

Oh well! LOL!!! I guess it works either way. I'm just glad it worked!!

Is there a list of other changes for this firmware, or is it just text viewing?

The latest version has only been uploaded to the Korean site, the worldwide download centre may have it in the future.

Sure, this firmware will work for any Samsung Z5, regardless of its model number and current firmware. No languages have been removed from the player so it will still support Spanish, but I would assume that the text viewer can display all types of characters (not just standard English), but I have not tested this.

Has anyone had trouble reading different languages when using the text viewer?

Edit: The link in the first post of this thread is working.

Cool It doesnt work!!!

Thank you for your answer,

I downloaded the firmware and updated my Z5....

....everything was fine.I can see the new folder with the tittle "text files" So i copied and pasted some lyrics in the "notebook" application in Windows but I cant see any lyrics.

How can my Z5 show the lyrics?

Do I have to put an specific name to the text file like the pictures with the name "folder"?

Can anybody help me?

Thank you in advance.

Did you save the file with just standard text in a *.txt file? This should be the only requirement.

Is it me, or is the hissing sound gone - you know, when DNSe is "on" and the screen is off?

The only way to really make a good check on that is to play a wma or ogg file with DNSe on and wait until the screen goes off.

If there is no noise, then I will kiss samsung for it. If there still is noise then I will kick samsung for not getting it fixed. But to my understanding, or from my little not so accurate experiments, I think it is a hardware issue. Although, the hiss stops when the song is almost finished.... bah, i don't want to go into it again...

After upgrading to 2.51, I now have a custom equalizer.

Was this in a previous version (I skipped 2.47), or is this new in 2.51?
