Product-wise, similar things have been available for a long time. The V-Moda Vibes and the MylarOnes come with one of those cable-wrapper thingies right out of the box.

Are the cables of IEMs and earbuds really too long for anyone? I have no problem stuffing 10 or 20cm of the cable next to the DAP in my pocket, or something similar. Sure, it's another thing for 3m cables of full-sized phones, but those won't fit on a tiny cable-wrapper anyway.

I used such a cable-wrapper once, and it was a hassle straightening out the cable afterwards, it kept the spiral form for a long time...yeah, I'm not a fan of these gadgets.

The one from Audio Technica is made of metal (and leather), not silicon, like most others - beware of storing it close to your DAP - I see scratches galore in its future...

That wrapper winds the cable too tight and looks as if it could cause damage to the internal wire after continued use. For a cable wrapper I would look for something that wraps the cable a little more loosely.

I’ve got 2 of the rubber ones from CrossRoads, but I prefer to hang my iems so that the wire stays straight
