I'm trying to ween my 13 year old daughter off of iTunes (she has an older iPod, wants to get an iVideo). My initial take is that the D2's the right alternative, but I'd like to know what experiences D2 owners are having with Rhapsody these days.

Well, Rhapsody is more of a Sandisk/Real cooperate thing: http://www.real.com/rhapsody/devices - but it might work with the D2, since it supports MSC/MTP and PlaysForSure. Too bad, being locked in by one online music service and not being able to choose the player one likes...

I don't use Rhapsody, but, I do use Yahoo Unlimited subscription music with my D2. Works great....just remember to use MTP mode.
