If you can find them, go for it!

Unlike FM transmitters, Bluetooth audio is transmitted digitally, so playing music on a set of BT speakers would be no different than playing music over a WiFi connection.

I've listened to a set of Bluetooth headphones, and they sounded awesome!

I have bluetooth headphones...they are amazing...one of the only drawbacks is that the trasmitter adds about 25% to the height of the player...but other than that, it's killer!

Sounds like a good idea, hopefully when all the next gen players come out, they'l hopefully be equipped with standard bluetooth transmitters. But until then, ill just busy myself with trying to find a bluetooth transmitter in Australia -.-

my Bluetooth headphones were shipped as a free gift with the purchase of my SanDisk Sansa E260 from Dell.com, it was a special offer and not currently available...they are logitech bluetooth headphones...people had a problem with the head band breaking on large heads...but mine work like a charm!

I asked because i saw some on Ebay. Mostly Logitech. Not sure of the sound quality but it looks like most have a pretty small transmitter.

why would it add anything? the player should have internal bluetooth with support for A2DP and AVRCP

or do you have an ipod? lol

If memory serves me right, I believe that sumx4182 has a Sansa e260, no internal Bluetooth, so you need to plug in the transmitter (Logitech Wireless adapter), which adds the extra height to the player.

Altec Lansing has anounced a new bluetooth speaker system designed for cellphones that should work with an MP3, not in stores yet.

the only problem with A2DP speakers is that most multimedia sources that can play video will be out of sync by a couple milli seconds

IE

laptop playing xvid video, video will be fine, audio will be fine but both are out of sync, audio will lag by 200-500ms

I picked up a nice pair of BT speakers from Shaper Image in Jacksonville. 6" cone with dome tweeter. Close out, not in the online catalog anymore and $100. Has to be wired from left to right and left speaker has the receiver and amp. They sound amazingly good in the bedroom and the BT dongle also works for the Logitech headphones I have for my cell.

Of couse, if I use headphones, I mostly use my HD600 or KSC35 and wireless is more for novelty than anything else. I prefer the sound of the corded phones.

I've been doing some research, and the only decent bluetooth speakers are for cell phones and do not come with a 3.5mm bluetooth transmitter for your mp3 player. I've got a Zen 8gb with creative bluetooth wrap around head phones. They aren't perfect but they are definitely much better than RF quality. The only interference seems to be from jostling the transmitter.

I would really love a loud and tough bluetooth boombox to take to the beach. A long lasting internal rechargeable battery is a must. Also a shape that is easy to hold with one hand. Other than that, no gimmicks are needed. (fm radio/cd/exc)

if anyone finds something like this, plz let me know.

You're much better off buying a transmitter and reciever and then using real speakers with them.
