Default Praised Portable Speakers...?

Has anyone tried these speakers?... or know if the company is good? I've searched for a review but am yet to find one. Thanks.

The user reviews on the Circuit City site seem pretty positive. I haven't tried it myself; however you must realize that speakers like this are never going to sound even half as good as a proper stereo system, but they'll probably do pretty nicely in situations where you cannot wear headphones or bring a boombox.

What's with the "praised" and everything? You know they are total crap, by the looks of them... but if you just need some direct sound source without any other requirements, they should be ok.

I’ve seen a similar unit on sale for $4.99, any more than that is a rip off

Those are shitty. Trust me. Nothing to "praise" at all.

Listening to your headphones at a distance with the volume maxed out will probably sound the same as those speakers.

If you really want to find out, head over to the nearest circuit city and see if they have it in stock. you can always return what you dont like.

On a side note, Circuit City's new name is going the be "The City" in a few months. I personally think thats terrible.
