The stock phones won't break if you sleep while listening.

I have been using these for a month or so. They work extremely well, and are suprisingly durable. You can find them at Best Buy or Amazon.com Less than $20.

Hey, I'd rather think about your life. Headphone cables can easily choke you wihle you are sleeping!

V-Moda Vibes are my choice of sleep-phones... can't get much more comfortable than that, at least for my ears.

To sleep I think a comfortable pair of wireless or blue tooth phones will serve the purpose best.

I had some earbuds the I used while laying down, except I messed one up (no sound comes from it...and no, it wasn't a problem with the Sansa
I opened it up and apparently it's just a loose connection, but I can't seem to fix it.)

Any decent IEM will allow for comfortable sleep, since they actually insert into your ears with only a little bit of the IEM body extending out. I sleep with my V-moda Vibes in my ears fairly frequently. Somehow, I always manage to remove them at some point of time in my sleep, but they've never caused me any issues.

I use my marshmallows for this very purpose. They are as cheap as chips so it doesn't matter if I knacker them. Buds are too small for me so I put some large Shure e2c tips on mine. Isolation isn't brilliant but they sound great for £15

If I'm listening to music while I sleep, I use the stock Zune headphones while sleeping.
I wear my Vibes while sitting up b/c I'm scared of damaging them. |

Wishing to be a doctor i could resist so wouldn't suggest sleeping with you DAPs as it doesn't alolow your brain to rest properly resulting in poors night's sleep regardless of what you listen to.I tried it once, sleeping without music and it makes such a difference in the morning. I would suggest getting a docking system a small 1, when i sleep with IEMs as i have small ear canals my ears hurt in the morning and any type of full headphones you will find it hard to place your head in a comfortable postion and yet i still do it with my VDJ 300's

I set the sleep timer on my DAP to an hour or two, it turns off after that - and my enormous brainmeats gets their desired rest.

I usually use IEMs...cheap ones too, don't want to ruin my Shures or my Etymotics (don't ask why I have both), usually I roll around in my sleep so much that they pop out of my ears and end up under my pillow, safe and sound for another night...
